SEVENTY-THREE/ resolutions

This is coming to you all a month late. I've taken a bit of a hiatus from my blog for the last little bit, and to be completely honest, I've been missing in action from a lot of aspects of my life lately. I can't find the words to describe how the last few months or so has been for me. Although my life has been hectic and busy, I found myself hiding for a lot of the time.

Maybe it's because of the weather... it has been insanely cold where I live. That's more than likely a poor excuse and I really can't blame things on the weather forever. Like everything else in life, the bad weather will clear and it will make room for sunnier days. I find myself repeating this theory to myself daily. If I say something enough, it has to come true... right?

I didn't make an official ~2014~ post and I don't usually make New Years resolutions but this year will be different. I had such high hopes for last year and barely any of my hopes came to life. This year has to be different. No more excuses. No more comfort zones.

I have big  personal style related plans/resolutions as well. I have a nasty habit of throwing out / donating / consigning my clothes and keeping my closet to a minimum. I wear the same outfits over and over again until they are threadbare. I'm not sure if it's laziness or what, but I'm going to try to work my way out of my comfort zone. That was my objective in making this blog, and I haven't accomplished it just yet. We're already a month in this year and I'm already making a few steps to change this. I'll for sure keep you posted on the progress, although it does look like it'll be baby steps at first.

The first baby step was rocking nude lips and forgoing my usual black skinny jeans. I think I pulled this look together pretty well, although I did technically cheat by wearing a lip printed scarf but shhh.
